The Qknit is celebrating the Annual Pride Month in January 2019 before the Mumbai Pride 2019. We are organizing 4 events to celebrate and encourage budding talents from the LGBTQIA+ community. The entry to these events will be free and open for all the people across the gender spectrum.
Queer Hugs – Hugs are important not only for socialising and bonding with others, but it also helps boost our emotional health and well-being. There is immense value in being receptive to warmth and affection and hugging makes people feel included. Queer Hugs is thus an initiative to show that LGBTQI persons are not different than others, that the community ought to be recognized, accepted, and be given the exact set of rights like any other citizen of the country.

Anubhav – “A Youth Festival is the space that explores the power of art to inspire, respect, and recognise people across gender and sexual norms. Our aim is to encourage creative minds and incite creative collaboration and experimentation to celebrate art. Through creative expression, we wish to empower young people across the gender spectrum at the grassroots level and showcase their talents and ideas in the form of poster making, poetry, photography, etc.

Khel Khel Mein – It aims at encouraging sportsmanship among the various individuals. There will be different single as well as multi-player sports as well as games in which individuals can participate. The idea is to create a kind of a queer-friendly Olympic like a sports event.

My Pride Outfit – As the name suggests, My Pride Outfit is going to be a pride outfit making competition, wherein the participants will be asked to design a unique pride outfit which will describe the this year’s Mumbai Pride’s theme “Pride For All”
